Conjunto Heritage Taller

Conjunto in the Community

To support the preservation and perpetuation of traditional conjunto music via low-cost accordion and bajo sexto classes for students of all ages, and public performances exposing the broader community to this art form. Children from 7 to seniors up to 80+ participate in inter-generational classes taught by master musician/instructors at Conjunto Heritage Taller’s studios, and perform together at community events and festivals, often free of charge. CHT also offers free senior accordion classes at senior centers, with the help of a grant from Texas Commission on the Arts. Through these activities CHT strives to keep traditional conjunto music alive for future generations.
