Fernando Andrade

Paredes (Walls)

To support the creation of a new body of work by artist Fernando Andrade: Paredes consists of six large scale drawings each measuring 54”x 70”h using graphite and watercolor techniques on watercolor paper. Paredes is an ongoing series comprised of life-size figure drawings in various poses, exploring tension and discomfort. One of the primary goals with this body of work is to capture the attention of the viewer in order to engage the piece in a conceptual way. The project challenges the viewer to think about the walls that are self-constructed and realize they could have both a positive and negative impact.
